Door hanging and carpentry
Doors are the carpentry we are asked for most and the part of the job Reuben enjoys most. A whole house of new oak doors with matching frames and architraves transforms a hallway for less than most people expect, and a single sticking door can be made to close properly in an hour. We hang internal doors of every type, fit new frames and linings where the old ones are out of square, install fire doors for landlords and loft conversions, and fit and furnish front and back doors.
Kitchens, fitted by a carpenter
A kitchen is carpentry, tiling, worktops and decoration all meeting in one room, which is exactly the mix we do every day in bathrooms. You buy the kitchen you like, from any supplier, and we fit it properly: units levelled and fixed, worktops cut and jointed, splashbacks tiled, plinths and cornices scribed to the walls, flooring laid and the room decorated. Gas and new electrical circuits are handled by registered engineers we work with.

Do you give free quotes?
Yes. We visit, measure, talk through what you want and send a written quote with a programme. There is no charge and no obligation.
Are you plumbers or electricians?
No, we are bathroom and kitchen fitters and carpenters. Pipework and fittings within the room are part of what we do; gas work, new boilers and new electrical circuits are done by registered engineers we work with, and we manage them as part of your project.
Do I need to buy the bathroom or kitchen myself?
You can, from any supplier, and we will check your order against the room before you buy. Or we can supply everything and give you one price for the lot.
How long does a bathroom take?
A typical full bathroom is two to three weeks; a renovation that keeps the layout is often a week to ten days; a cloakroom a few days. You get a programme with the quote and we keep to it.
Do you tidy up?
Every day. Dust sheets down, tools packed away and the room swept each evening, and a full clean at the end so the room is ready to use.
Who will be in my house?
Reuben, and where a job needs more hands, people he has worked with for years. You will know who is coming and when.
